Loma Lookboonmee
"Loma"
Biography
Born Suphisara Konlak in Buriram, Thailand, Loma Lookboonmee made history as the first Thai fighter ever signed to the UFC. She began training Muay Thai at age 7 at her father's gym and soon competed against boys due to a lack of female competition, accumulating nine championship titles including the S-1 World Championship. Her fight name 'Loma' — meaning dolphin in Thai — was given during her first trip to Pattaya when promoters spotted her childlike wonder at seeing the ocean for the first time. She made her UFC debut on October 26, 2019 and has since built a 7-3 UFC record with her technical Muay Thai striking and improving submission game, including a highlight-reel rear-naked choke finish of Elise Reed at UFC 284.
